The historic town of Sliven, town of the 100 chieftains and a glorious past, is located at the foot of the Balkan Mountains. Its massive buildings and wide pedestrian zone in the center of the city show that the town was the richest and most prestigious in the country, during its prime.
Today, the peacefulness of its large park, friendly inhabitants, and proximity to unspoiled nature make this medium sized town an interesting starting point to explore other regions. The main one would be the Blue Rocks National Park above the city, which immerses visitors in a magical atmosphere.
