The Covered Bridge of Kolyo Ficheto is the official symbol of Lovech. It connects the new part of town with the Old Lovech. This is the only bridge of its kind in the Balkan Peninsula, a rare work, because there are only three similar bridges in Europe.
Built in 1874-1876, the 84 meter bridge is home to 64 small commercial and craft stalls. The bridge caught fire on August 3rd, 1925. After its renovation, some changes were made to the original bridge. Reconstruction in 1981-1982 led to its current appearance, reminiscent of the original bridge but with a length of 106 meters. There, visitors can find many souvenirs related to the region.
