The Kurtpashov Tower is located in the western part of the central square in Vratsa, bordering the Regional History Museum. It is a square-shaped structure with a length of 5.9 meters, and a height of 11 meters.
Along with the Tower of Offenders nearby, it is one of the few buildings in the town that survived the Ottoman era. It was used as a fortified residence of a local feudal lord. It dates back to the 17th century, but it shares many similarities with the fortresses of the Bulgarian Middle Ages (14th century). It includes a basement storage area on the ground floor and two residential floors. The residential floors also have defensive openings. The detachable stairs provided access to the upper floors for greater security. The last two floors are separated by a double bar filled with mortar and stone to prevent fires.
