The museum is part of the Romanian-Ukranian European Project, through which it was founded in 2009. Thanks to the efforts made by the County Council of Tulcea and the Natural History Museum, this museum showcases the natural scientific heritage of the Danube Delta.
The museum not only promotes the natural heritage of the delta, but also allows us to examine the Razim and Sinoe lagoons, as well as the Macin Mountains. On the ground floor documentaries are presented, which help us get aquainted with the Danube Delta and the Dobrogea region. You can also learn more about the plants and animals specific to northern Dobrogea. The upper floor is dedicated to the traditional crafts of the Danube Delta, as well as some relaxation areas (this center is aimed towards the residents of Tulcea). The last level is certainly the most interesting, thanks to the aquarium of the museum, where you can enjoy the local marine life and ovserve them in their natural environment.
