Rasnov is a town in the county of Brasov. To the southeast you will find the Postavaru, Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountain ranges. This territory was inhabited by the Dracians over 2000 years ago, and later by the Saxons, who gave it the name Rasnov. The name is interpreted by locals as the translation of the word “trandafiri” (“roses” in Romanian), which is a symbol of the city.
