The Monastery Church is located near the clock tower, and was built in the 13th century. At that time, it was part of a Dominican monastery. The current form of the church dates back to 1677. The monastery was eventually demolished and replaced by the town hall. The sanctuary was built in the Gothic style, with three naves of the same height. The church has a length of 44.5 meters and a width of 12.6 meters.
One of the traditions of the Lutheran church was that the priest would be the first to exit after the Mass, in order to greet all of the attendants.
