Rasinari is a small, picturesque village about ten kilometers from Sibiu. The village is famous for its architecture, which, along with its customs and holiday traditions, is very well preserved.
This is the birthplace of Emil Cioran and Octavian Goga, two Romanian writers and poets who took refuge in France to express their art.
Every year, the village hosts events related to the local culturek, such as the Day of Tuica (plum brandy) and the Festival of Cheese.
