Noviodunum is one of the oldest Roman cities in the Dobrogea region. This city, now in the territory of the town Isakcha, was the main port of the Danube Delta and the seat of the Roman naval fleet on the Danube. Unfortunately, not enough archaeological research has been done, due to lack of financial resources, and most of Noviodunum still lies underground. The research that has been done makes this site an interesting place to visit on the banks of the Danube.
