Costinesti is a coastal town situated on the shores of the Romanian Black Sea, ideal for beach activities. However, we recommend that you avoid going there, as well as all the places nearby Constanta during August. Interestingly, not far from the coast you can see the remains of the “E Evangelia”. This Greek cargo ship was travelling too close to the shore and ran aground in 1968, for reasons that remain unknown to this day. The costs of removing the shipwreck were very high, and the local authorities as well as the owner decided to leave it at the place of the accident. Since then, the ship has become a symbol of the city.
