In the heart of Bucharest, one of the capitals with the most forests in Europe, you can find the oldest park in the city: the Cișmigiu Gardens.
The Cișmigiu Gardens is one of the favorite places of the residents of Bucharest to take a Sunday stroll. Opened in 1860, it is one of the largest parks in Bucharest, with an area of 15 hectares.
In the summer, visitors can go on a boat ride, while in the winter, when the temperate is low enough the lake in the park is turned into an ice-rink.
