The Museum of Art in Bucharest is a pleasant stop for connoisseurs of art during their visit to the city. It dates back to 1948, when the communists took power in Romania, and has been enriched with newer works over the years. The current collection includes over 70,000 pieces. These works are divided into two galleries: The European Art Gallery and the National Gallery.
The museum has a rich collection of decorative works, such as antique furniture, ceramics and embroidery.
