The Cantacuzino Castle of Busteni is found in the Prahova Valley, and is one of the most famous buildings in the region.
Grigore Gheorghe Cantacuzino,a Romanian politician who was the Mayor of Bucharest and later Romanian Prime Minister during the late 19th and early 20th century, decided to build a castle in Busteni. This exquisite building is located in a beautifully arranged park, both of which were designed by the architect Grigore Cherchez.
The main attractions of the castles are the marble and wood staircase, the main hall, and several caves and fountains located in the park.
