The Gothic Fortified Church of Saros pe Tarnave is located near Dunbraveni, near the main road between Sighisoara and Medias.
The village of Saros pe Tarnave has existed since 1282, but the evangelical church was built in the 15th century. The fortified walls were built in 1483, several years after the completion of the church, in order to protect the villagers from foreign attacks. The walls feature five watchtowers. Later, in the 16th century, the Clock Tower was built, while the church was restored in the 17th century.
Beginning in the 20th century, the local Saxon communities have continuously cared for the church and offer this cultural landmark to visitors.
